In October of 2013, my father was basically on his death bed, suffering from a cancer that has spread throughout pretty aggressively. I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to travel over to the Czech Republic from the States to be by his side. This was one of the hardest experiences of my life.
I owe my father everything... In many was I AM *him*. He was the first *human to spark my brain in terms of creativity, metaphysics, astronomy, fantasy, imagination, and ART. He was a brilliant oil painter...and since he made it a point to paint by my crib when I was an infant, I'd mimic him constantly.
So as I was beside him while he'd be in the hospital bed, I decided to start this piece by his side, as a tribute to him, and to the occurrence. I worked on it beside him every day. Though 5 days after my arrival, he passed away. I made it a point to make sure he understood what ever he meant to me. I Love him tremendously...
